24 Aug LifeForce Yoga: Awaken Your Inner Pharmacy
Here’s a chance to learn about LifeForce Yoga as a way to manage moods and learn techniques to support yourself, your students, and your clients. I’ve known Amy Weintraub for well over twenty years and taken many classes with her. Her skill as a teacher is well known. Amy’s integration of psychological theory with ancient techniques is woven into her LifeForce Yoga and is the subject of her upcoming book Yoga Skills for Therapists.
Amy’s first book brought the rich support of the ancient world to the healing of depression: Yoga for Depression. Here’s a chance to work with Amy directly in her afternoon workshop at The Arlington Center, Arlington, MA on October 16, 2011
In Yoga, one size doesn’t fit all – all bodies, all levels of experince, all moods.
This workshop will help you learn how to assess the mood – yours and your students – and design a menu of practices to meet you where you are. Learn timeless yet evidence – based Yoga practices that you may not regularly practice in class, specifically designed for mood – management.
LifeForce Yoga tools can help you maintain your optimum mental health.
We’ll practice:
-
Pranayama and kriya breathing techniques that regulate emotions-
-
Meditations that lift the mood
-
Creating Affirmation (sankalpa)
-

-
Tones that regulate the emotions (mantras)
-
