03 Feb James Deng “Lost Boy of Sudan”
If you’re in the Boston area
Saturday, March 9, 2013 @ 6 pm
Come hear James Deng, a Sudanese survivor and one of the so-called “Lost Boys of Sudan” speak about his experience. As a child, Deng’s village was pillaged and burned by Muslims in North Sudan. His mother and father perished in the fires. Deng walked with 3.500 other boys for 3 months for 1000 miles– barefoot, with no water and no food.
As James says, “education is my mother and my father” which sustained him. Now a Criminal Justice major at Boston College, Deng will earn his degree at the close of the semester. Deng’s humor, his good will towards others, and his spirit is amazing!
Barbara Phillips who is supporting James to share his story writes that she is moved to tears by his open-hearted sharing. If you’re interested in coming feel free to rsvp to Barbara. Click here to email her.
Please Come. His Story deserves witness.
