Your Biology and Your Life Purpose

Your Biology and Your Life Purpose

[Today’s guest blog is by Barbara McCollough, LICSW, a long term colleague and friend of me.  Barbara’s eclectic interests have forged new interesting ground.  A number of years ago Barbara started to explore how people could find their “life purpose” through the intricate lines of their hands.  When Barbara read my hands I was rather taken aback.  I felt heard, known, and witnessed in ways that was almost difficult to integrate.  I wish that everyone can have the experience of feeling that known and seen.]

I adore the work that Deirdre does, her blog, her courses. her talks.

To use the modern lingo, if there was one package that we could put Deirdre into (which of course we can’t) , it would be “Heart in a Box”  Or maybe “Compassion in a Box” See what I mean?

It’s impossible to put anyone in a box, but using Deirdre as an example, when one has any contact with Deirdre, regardless of  how of brief or seemingly casual, one is bound to get a full measure of love and compassion.

We all have hallmarks that are part of our true essence.

This is not just my experience of Deirdre, nor is it merely something she has decided to exhibit to the world.

It is part of who she IS, and the evidence for that is in her own biology: it’s in her fingerprints which she created while in the womb right around the time her heart started to beat.

I first analyzed Deirdre’s hands just a few years ago , long after she was  already deeply committed to her life path.

I think she would agree that the reading did not change her direction, but it powerfully confirmed it and helped her to experience the challenges along the way from a new perspective.

Each of us have our life purpose inscribed upon our hands as well as specific information about the patterns that could keep us from achieving that life purpose

Our hands also tell us about specific gifts that we bring as well as what our spiritual foundation is for this lifetime.  Sounds kind of out there, doesn’t it?

But as Deirdre, and I and hundred of others will attest, once you know this information it will not seem in the least strange, for your heart will immediately recognize the information even if your conscious mind is surprised.

A natural question is “If this came about at the time my heart started to beat how could I not know it?”  Many people do know it.

People you see who seem to have found their path in the world early on and never spent a day questioning where they are going. We all know these people and probably envy them!

But for most of us there were circumstances in our histories that colluded with our forgetting who we are and what we came here to do.

Life difficulties, traumas of any kind, diverts us from our path into one of survival on many levels.

Over the next couple weeks I will focus on how knowing what is in your hands can be an important ally in your healing journey.  Subscribe on the link above to get the next installment.
