17 Nov 6 Difference Makers
It’s hard isn’t it?
Life can be disruptive. We do everything we can to organize/control/contain the disruption, but goodness gracious, doesn’t that disruption leak in?
There are definitely times when the disruption is stunningly disorienting. So, we learn simple tools hoping to deal with it better. Sometimes it works.
And there are times when we are totally thrown asunder. We cope. Sometimes in good ways, more beneficial ways.
Sometimes we do anything to take the disruption down a notch. Sometimes we need to keep doing more. I can hear the universal groan. More?! Haven’t we done enough?
Terrible conundrum.
6 Difference Makers: I was reflecting on this after getting a few emails from people letting me know what makes a difference. Let me list them out for you here:
-
- Slowing down
- Separating Facts from Feelings & Interpretations
- Identifying the Natural Rhythm of life: everything will Rise, Crest, and Fall
- Developmental Task of Becoming an Adult is VERY different from the Developmental Task of a Child
- What we PROTEST is actually our heart/soul pointing out that something is missing
- Eight Fundamental Attachment Needs
Recently, on the Trauma Therapist Podcast with Guy McPherson I ended up speaking about some of this at length. Click here to take a listen and notice what resonates with you. Can you identify those 6 Difference Makers?
Sending Goodness,
