Maybe our responses to life aren’t set in stone

Maybe our responses to life aren’t set in stone

Maybe we actually can change how we respond to situations, especially those that are difficult.

These are the questions Tania Singer’s social neuroscience group explores at the Max Planck Institute in Leipzig.  What they’re finding out, as this video with Olga Klimecki shows us is that training our minds can absolutely change our feelings and thoughts.   Suffering is inevitable.  Yet as we meet suffering with compassion we are less  mired in distress.

The video is 19 minutes, chock full of learning.

Then again, we can practice in our own lives and test the research findings.   Let’s train our minds!  A simple way to do that is to join the Embodied Practices Online Course starting October, 2013.  Click here for more information
