Multi-sensory perception.

What does that have to do with healing trauma & attachment?

Actually a lot.

You see… if we can “feel” a rubber hand as if it’s our own, well, then, we can add one more component – our imagination – and activate multi-sensory perception and remap our internal experience.

Yes, it takes work. Consistent. Persistent work.  But the end result is we can imagine different outcomes, remapping our internal experience.

Those in my Summer Seminar are finding this out as they inch their way toward new ways of being.  It’s also the touchstone of the Trauma, Attachment, and Yoga training I’ll be running for professionals that starts in October. There’s a few more spots open if your heart feels drawn to join us in October.  For more information on that click here.

One more piece of research – yet to be revealed – is the outcome study a small group of us are doing with Dan Brown, PhD testing a protocol to shift insecure attachment status to secure status. Data is being crunched as we speak. The simple headline is: It Works.  We can change our attachment status. We can become more securely attached. And — it can happen easier than we think.  I’ll be teaching the basics of that protocol, and how yogic psychology is applied, in the Trauma, Attachment and Yoga training.
