19 Nov First, we need to ground ourselves in the basics – avoiding SOS
It’s so easy to get caught up in the SOS -> Shiny Object Syndrome.
Leaving the simple practices for the glowy, “promising you everything” outcome.
I know that one. Been there. Done that.
A lot of times!
Caught up in the stuff of life, I’ve had to repeatedly (that means thousands of times) bring myself to the basics. Focus on this present moment.
Finding something, one small thing, in this tiny moment of time that softens my heart and lights my mood.
Four Reminders help:
- This tiny moment can be precious.
- Ease in this moment helps meet the next moment.
- Interrupt the old pattern.
- Imprint something new.
With those reminders, we need the positive connection of those on the same path to mirror what’s good and right, reassure us and validate the tiny steps we’re taking.
This helps us cut off the root of the old, negative patterns creating room for something new to grow.
